Jon (Kwan Ming) was born in Southern China and as a boy enjoyed the natural beauty of his native country, playing outdoors and hiking in the mountains. After a two year stay in Hong Kong (ages 7-9) Jon and his family moved to New York, joining many relatives who had already immigrated. For an idea of what it’s like to live in Chinatown, Jon, recommends checking out Tea That Burns by Bruce Hall. Jon had to adjust to a new culture and language, but quickly caught up to his peers in school and displayed an aptitude for math. After graduating from the prestigious Brooklyn Technical High School he attended Polytechnic University in Farmingdale, Long Island and later went on to graduate from Baruch College where he received a BA in Management of Information Systems.
